What started as a personal project to help friends and fellow expats find English-menu restaurants quickly grew into something much bigger.

Over the years, I’ve visited hundreds of restaurants across Japan, tasting incredible dishes and meeting amazing chefs and owners. While I haven’t been to every single restaurant on our list (yet!), each entry is carefully researched and verified and updated to ensure it meets our standards.
